Bath products for tween boys?
Do you have a tween boy who has gotten into grooming? My 9 year old loves bath gels/body sprays, etc… He also likes hair stuff (gels, pomades) and has starting blow drying his hair after a shower. This is definitely something I want to encourage (as I am lucky to get my nearly 13 year boy to even get in the shower and soap up.) But I notice a gap in products for boys/men. There is the low end Axe type stuff which is what he uses now and then the higher end colognes and such that he would start using around 15. What do you get them in between those ages. Does bath and body works still make sets? They did years ago. What about the Hollister/American Eagle stuff – is it too old for him even in a couple of years? His birthday is coming up and he will have used all of his Axe set that he got from Christmas, I was wanting to get him something else.
Yes, actually B&BW has baskets or packages with products such as shower gel, and lotion, plus a sponge. ***They are having their semi-annual sale now! Check out their website.
Let him decide! Why not take him to your local walmart, mall, etc. and let him try out some scents? If he likes them, buy them. It doesn’t matter low end or high end; he’s in between at this age anyway.
My brothers use high end and low end products. For basic things like shampoo, they tend to lend toward shampoos you can find at places like Target but splurge on hair styling products such as hair spray, gel, etc. Maybe the next time he gets his haircut, have his hair styled as well. If he spikes his hair, ask the stylist to do this, and if he likes the new look, perhaps buy the product or ask for recommendations to similar ones.
